...my labtop is broken. I don't know if I'll get it fixed but a lot of stuff I update LJ with was on it. I still have my icons that will be posted on rustedglow and of course, that's really the only thing I update these days anyway. Unfortunately, all my fan videos were on there so I can't post more of them, but my YT account has three strikes already and I've basically stopped uploading stuff. I've had my account since 2006 and believe me when I say Youtube has change massively since the time I signed up. Everything is so highly monitored its boring.

I've thought about getting a Tumblr but I don't quite understand what a Tumblr is really there for. Mostly, I see pictures off there and that's about it. Once I found one with some nice movie reviews which I actually sat and read a few. It's sort of like LJ or is it suppose to be something else? Either way, I'm still on here and I'll be posting icons over and over until I stop making them or people stop enjoying them, whichever comes first.

Wow, I am shit at updates, huh? I'm going to try to post some icons more than I have so far. I mean to be more on my game but I fail miserably at it! This post can be whatever I want so I'm going to talk about my obvious obsession with Klaus/Caroline shipping. Never thought I would want to ship these two together but I do. For anyone who may not be clear on what I am talking about, these two characters are from the TV show The Vampire Dairies.



When the show began, I disliked Caroline because I found her to be too vapid. Then she was turned into a vampire and suddenly her character became stronger and I liked that. In fact, she may be my favorite character on the show. (I really like Matt from the books and I continually wished the writers would give him a bigger part on the show. Also, can people please stop making death threats on his character? Just because he is not front and center doesn't make him useless!) I enjoyed Klaus from the moment he showed up because I like villains - they are fun to watch and probably more fun to play. He couldn't just be the bad guy though, they had to give him some weak spots because even the biggest bad has them.



I notice many fans either love the idea of them together or hate it vehemently. I know Caroline loves Tyler and Klaus has done many bad things like kill Jenna, but I think people forget every character has grey areas and they cannot always be black and white. Klaus was initially perceived as evil which shifted to lonely and misunderstood and takes it out on everyone else. Not to forget, Damon started on the show being an evil guy that quickly moved into the same direction of Klaus's lonely/misunderstood. I think Damon might be a bit more forgiving and loving than Klaus, I think Klaus needs to reconnect with his feelings which was the point of him seeking Caroline's love. He's sort of terrible with his people skills unless he's doing something bad. I want to know where they are going to take Klaus' character in season four.



Speaking of season four, I feel very uncomfortable with Klaus in Tyler's body and I hope nothing too strange happens. I do hope Caroline realizes its not Tyler, hoping she's intuitive enough to figuring that out. I don't want no lovin' while Klaus is possessing Tyler, it sounds like some freaky shit right there. I don't think that'll get him in good graces with Caroline either. It's a sneaky way to stay around and keep close to her but I want him to get his body back. I'm sure Bonnie could pull that off if she gave it a shot. Anyway, I'm just too intrigued with these two!

I have a hard time choosing favorites with books too. I enjoy everything I read same as what I watch so I can't just choose one book that gives me a happy. The most recent book that had me glued in for 24 hours straight was The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, with the world of Young Adult fiction today this book is a refreshing read. I read plenty of books that followed narrowed story lines, but The Hunger Games taught me that I probably take too much for granted, gave me a few survival tips, and made me question whether for not I could live in the future world of Panem. Katniss Everdeen is truly a wonderful model for young females - strong, bold when it matters, caring, but not too perfect. She is unaware of simple feelings because of her need to stand strong and perhaps has a hard time connecting with others. She reminds me a little of Buffy Summers and it's been a drought of strong female types so I'm happy they're not just weak-minded, preening, sappy little girls. If you should see the book, you should read it, it's a page-turner.
